Web design and Apple's glitch!

It is the first working day of the New Year 2011 at the Brick Technology office and everyone is feeling revitalised and ready to roll after this season and it's festivities. Everyone was on time this morning however, an embarrassing glitch regarding the Apple iPhone caused many people to be late or to not even wake up at all.

Your probably thinking what on earth I am talking about?

A glitch which caused the iPhone’s built-in alarm clock feature to fail meant that no alarm that was set went off, leaving many people oversleeping on the first two days of the New Year. People were late for transport arrangements and work, it left many people starting the New Year on a bit of a bad footing!

Apple have not as yet given any reasoning as to why it didn’t work which is embarrassing for them as a similar problem occurred when the clocks went back in November. With yet another error from Apple, there is only so long until their reputation becomes scarred. With sales of the iPhone reaching over 1.7millions handsets by June 2010 Apple need to stop these errors – and quick.

On a slightly more positive note however, everyone made it on time today - Happy New Year to you all and we hope that you too are feeling refreshed and looking forward to what this year has to offer to us. Like every other year Brick Technology|Web Design want to be the best and we want our clients to be the best.

“What you put in is what you get out!”

Based on last year we are working on our strengths and learning from our mistakes, Brick Technology, Web Design – Blackburn still offer a range of support solutions including training sessions, live chat facilities with our technical support team, internet marketing and a Support Ticketing system so you will never be left in the lurch.

As always, we need you to keep on top of maintenance of your website. We are not suggesting you have a complete re-design of your website but that for the New Year you see what works and what doesn’t. Change little things and forget needing a bank loan to fund expensive re-designs or paying for a top place on Google.

Next make sure that your socials too are up to date linked and look just how you want them to. If you don’t have socials set up then why not? This is perhaps one of the simplest things that you can do and yet people don’t! At Brick Technology even we have links to our:

These are up to date with what is going on in our business. Engaging with customers on a personal level through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter shows them that you are interested and with so many members of such sites these days it opens you up to a larger target audience.

Content, or rather having a news page on your website can be another great way to keep in touch with your customer base but only if you put it to use! News pages keep content fresh and show you off to be an active business– which you are! Posting a couple of news stories each week including your chosen keywords can really help your positioning on Google. Take a look at our News Page.

Once again Happy New Year from all of us at Brick Technology, we hope that you are as passionate and excited as we are!
